New model: EJ 200
Design: EJ design team
EJ 200 – the new Erik Jørgensen sofa – brings the 70’s back to mind. The sofa is the ideal choice for people who are looking for a casual sofa of high quality. The sofa provides great comfort when sitting or lying down. The sofa consists of a black MDF frame in which the big mattress in one piece and the voluminous cushions in the back and sides provide good comfort. The legs in stainless steel give the sofa a modern look. EJ 200 is pure spoiling and a relaxing oasis at home. EJ 200 is designed by the Erik Jørgensen design team who continuously develops new furniture based on the fine tradition and acquired experience of the company.
EJ 2400 Scala
Design: Tine Mouritsen, MAA and Mia Sinding, MDD
Scala is an idea of adding textural effect and humour to the current office and conference settings. The main purpose is to provide the user with excellent comfort. Scala is suitable for a variety of purposes – as a lounge chair, for meeting rooms or for the office. Linked together in rows the chair obtains a strong graphic expression and is perfect for arrangements at museums or lecture halls. Tine Mouritsen MAA has graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Mia Sinding MDD from the Danish School of Arts and Design. They have worked together as a professional team since 2002. Scala was the winner of the Erik Jørgensen Design Award 2003.
New model: Shel
Design: Gunnar Moen
The structural idea of Shel is the bending of a relatively thin stainless steel plate. In that a great structural strength and a light and elegant design is obtained. The dark outer tight upholstery and the accommodating bright inner comfort stress the graphic expression of the shell. Shel is well suited at home as well as in public spaces. The chair matches the material selection in modern architecture. The contact between the young Norwegian designer Gunnar Moen and Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabrik started with the Erik Jørgensen Design Award 2003. In 2004 Gunnar Moen exhibited a row of prototypes at Erik Jørgensen’s stand at the furniture fair in Copenhagen.
News: EJ 250 with double chaise longue
Design: EJ design team
EJ 250 is designed by the Erik Jørgensen design team who continuously develops new furniture based on the fine tradition and acquired experience of the company. The sofa was first introduced at the Copenhagen Furniture Fair in 2005. EJ 250 is Erik Jørgensen’s idea of a sofa which is the gathering point of the living room. The sofa is wide and long enough to seat both family and friends – or just two people. EJ 250 is an architectonic piece of furniture itself, and therefore it perfectly matches the pure lines in the Scandinavian design tradition. Despite its size the sofa does not seem tremendously big thanks to the narrow armrests and the simplicity of the design. The seat cushions and the fix upholstered back provide good comfort and assure that everybody sits comfortably in the sofa. With a chaise longue or a double chaise longue EJ 250 becomes even more laid back in its expression.
