Jonas Bohlin’s iconic LIV Chaise lounge returns in a numbered edition by Ingridsdotter at 3daysofdesign 2025. Originally created in 1997 and inspired by Bohlin’s Stockholm-to-Paris rowing journey, this legendary piece was previously one-of-a-kind. Now crafted in Sweden using sustainable forestry practices, featuring electro-galvanized steel frame and Swedish pine/oak construction. Available with vegetable-tanned Tärnsjö leather or felted wool cushioning.
Exhibited at Magniberg showroom, Stelling House, Gammeltorv 6, Copenhagen, June 18-20, 2025.

The Journey Behind the Design
The LIV collection draws its profound inspiration from Jonas Bohlin’s extraordinary 1994 adventure, when he and friends rowed from Stockholm to Paris in his boat named LIV (meaning “life” in Swedish). This months-long journey across waterways, sleeping under open skies, profoundly influenced Bohlin’s creative vision and resulted in the poetic LIV collection. The chaise lounge embodies this spirit of exploration, freedom, and connection with nature.
Design Philosophy and Legacy
Jonas Bohlin revolutionized the Swedish furniture industry in the early 1980s and remains one of Sweden’s most celebrated designers and interior architects. His portfolio includes over 300 objects spanning lamps, furniture, carpets, tableware, and cutlery. Beyond product design, Bohlin has created beloved restaurant interiors including Sturehof, Riche, Taverna Brillo, and Rolfs Kök, establishing himself as a master of spatial experience.
The collaboration with Ingridsdotter, led by Christine Ingridsdotter who has overseen coloring and textiles for Bohlin’s restaurant projects over thirteen years, represents a natural evolution of their creative partnership. Since 2021, several of Bohlin’s furniture pieces have been produced under the Ingridsdotter brand, emphasizing their shared commitment to creating “enduring objects-pieces meant to be treasured, never to let go.”
