Nanna Ditzel (1923 – 2005), ‘The Grand Dame of Danish Design’, was one of the most influential and significant Danish designers of the 20th Century. Her creative career spanned 60 years. Originally working in collaboration with her husband Jørgen Ditzel (1921 – 1961) and after his death on her own, her expansive portfolio includes furniture, textiles, jewellery and homeware. She is well known for some of her iconic designs, including the Hanging Egg Chair, Bench for Two, Hallingdal Fabric and the Trinidad Chair.
Today many of her designs are still in production.
