young designer industrial design competition Ever since May, the organization committee of 2001 Wuxi International Industrial Design Festival has received 324 design works. On Oct. 10th, the committe invited some demestic experts who made preliminary selection. At 2001 Wuxi International Industrial Design Festival, 101 selected works was being shown at the city Museum. On Oct.24th, about 10 professors invited from Britain, the USA, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Italy made final judement: 'The Green Amulet" designed by Yu Lefeng and Wu Jun from Southern Yangtze University won the grand prize--China Idustrial Design Association Board Chairman Award, another 8 works came in special award--Elex cup, TCL cup, Little Swan cup, Siemens cup, Nova cup, Hair cup, NDD cup, etc., and 10 more works won "Good Designs". On Oct. 27th, the committe hosted the award party and the leaders from China Science & Technology Ministry, Jiangsu Technical Department and Wuxi city awarded the winners. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2001 Eight Graphic Designers Poster Exhibition in NIngbo The opening ceremony of The 2nd Internatonal Poster Exhibition is to be held on Nov.5th in the Ningbo Daily Building. 8 international juries including Ahn Sang Soo (Korea), Philippe Apeloig (France), Chen Fang (China), Han Jiaying (China), Kan Tai-Keung (Hongkong), Mitsuo Katui (Japan), James Victore (USA), and Wang Xu (China) are invited by the organization committee. The exhibition will show 315 selected posters in addition to 80 pieces out of juries. It will issue one grand Prize, two golds, three silvers, five bronzes, one mayor award, and four judes' Awards. back to the newstand
