4-11 NOVEMBER 2001

In a setting inspired to delight the senses, Classic VIII will demonstrate once again how antiques, old fine arts and contemporary art can blend together in tasteful harmony. By displaying all these rich possibilities and variations, Classic is much more than a run-of-the-mill art and antiques fair. Classic shows a selection, creates an atmosphere, and aims above all to put over the message that things of real value are timeless, while so many products of an age are shown up as hollow and dated by the passage of time.

Sweden has been invited as guest country at the exclusive exhihibion CLASSIC VIII. The Swedish Embassy and the Swedish Trade Council are organizing the Swedish pavilion. 34 Swedish companies will be participating representing life style, antiques and modern art.

The Classic biennial was first held in 1987, with 103 exhibitors in 3 halls covering a total area of just 4.000 m2. The eighth Classic event now coming up has expanded to fill 6 halls (16.550 m2) with more than 200 exhibitors from Belgium, Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Sweden.
