Stockholm Furniture Fair kickstarts the design year 2024 with a series of news – including a new arena for young progressive design brands and three exciting design bars in collaboration with Nordic creatives. Among the exhibiting brands are both returning brands and first-time exhibitors.
Stockholm Furniture Fair is introducing a new arena for young progressive design brands in February 2024. The initiative is part of several larger ventures that aim at enhancing what makes the fair a unique platform in Europe – here we gather several hundred brands that are at the forefront when it comes to both sustainability and innovations, to showcase news all under the same roof.
– We are the best platform for business in Scandinavia, and for us it is important to be involved in moving the industry forward, says Hanna Nova Beatrice, Director of Stockholm Furniture Fair.
In Hall B, you will meet new, young design brands that earlier haven’t exhibited at the fair, such as Gustaf Westman, which has all his production in Sweden but mainly exports internationally. Here you will also find Greenhouse, which is the fair’s platform for tomorrow’s designers and design schools, the exhibition Young Swedish Design, and Prototypa, a dedicated area for workshops that focus on innovative materials in collaboration with the design studio Form Us With Love. The design bar in Hall B is made by an experimental Swedish design studio – and will be an eye-catching and completely circular meeting place.
In the other two halls, leading brands within design for public environments will be exhibited. Several returning exhibitors, such as Lintex, Edsbyn, String, Lammhults and Vestre, but also new companies such as Finnish Vaarnii and Korean Wekino With, are among the participants.
– The fair is very important. It´s about meeting, collaborating, discussing, and presenting often complex projects in a place where the entire industry can get involved. We need it to raise burning questions and topics that move the design industry in the right direction, says Hanna Nova Beatrice.
Next year’s Guest of Honour will be presented in September, together with the theme for 2024, guest exhibitions and seminars, whereas the seminar programme is made in collaboration with three different international media platforms.
At Stockholm Furniture Fair 2023, 478 furniture companies exhibited, and we received 27,000 visits from all over the world.
Stockholm Furniture Fair 2024 will take place 6-10 February 2024.
