The Let™ Lounge Chair by Sebastian Herkner – Fritz Hansen

A new, inviting lounge chair by Sebastian Herkner, designed for a wide variety of expressions and high use spaces.

The Let™ Lounge Chair by Sebastian Herkner and Fritz Hansen embodies the German designer’s excellent skills and signature aesthetic, with Fritz Hansen’s expert craftsmanship and quality. It is designed for a wide variety of expressions and interior styles and is suitable for commercial projects or residential use.

‘I like the character of the armrest which is spreading its wings in an inviting gesture. The general idea is about lightness and comfort. The chair becomes an oasis to relax. Light and precise, comfy and communicative, ’ Herkner explains.

The chair is Herkner´s first design in collaboration with Fritz Hansen. It comes fully upholstered in textile or leather. Bases are available in powder coated steel, classic chrome, or wooden legs in oak, natural ash, and black coloured ash. The possibilities are truly endless.

We asked the German designer about his first memory related to Danish design.
FH: When were you introduced to Danish design?
SH: When I was 15 or 16 years old on vacation with my parents in France, I came across beautiful furniture and objects at flea markets and vintage stores. On one trip I bought a very old Arne Jacobsen Ant™ chair that I repaired and painted.
This was one of my first, impressive contacts with Danish design and furniture design in general.
