Stove, designed by Gabriel Tan, was developed in the Furnishing Utopia project where designers from around the world were again given the task of interpreting Shaker design.

The jury’s motivation:
“With exceptional quality of craftsmanship characterized by functionalism and minimalism, the Shaker movements aesthetics makes for a design that will last over time. The Furnishing Utopia project has let 14 designers worldwide interpret the Shaker style and create their own modern items. Taking advantage of ancient craftsmanship is perhaps the best way to approach the future?”
