The Art Deco-style Colette lamp’s diffused light ignites emotions of nostalgia – &Tradition

Available in two sophisticated colour combinations, the Art Deco-style Colette lamp’s diffused light ignites emotions of nostalgia.

Named after the famed and pioneering French author known simply as ‘Colette’, &Tradition’s new table lamp has an avant-garde aesthetic. Showcasing a tactile shade and base fully encased in a crisp, off-white cotton-linen blend, this dimmable lamp is elegant, fresh and playful.

After extensive research, Colette has been created by the &Tradition design team as a modern interpretation of the fabric lamp. A truly distinctive piece, Colette’s classic charm is enhanced by a contrasting trim in black or merlot that frames the lampshade, as well as running along the base.

Featuring a dimmer function for full control of light intensity, Colette is a remarkably versatile piece that’s as suited to a living room or lounge environment as it is to a bedside table. Despite its light appearance, the end user will also benefit from the practical addition of a weighted base that has been included in order to keep Colette sturdy and grounded.

“At &Tradition we have the privilege of working with some of the best design masters, past and present. With Colette, we knew we wanted to look into the possibility of adding a fabric lamp to our collection. Our team took inspiration from the 20th century French design era and translated it into something contemporary by imprinting our own signature aesthetic onto it” says &Tradition founder and CEO Martin Kornbek Hansen. “It is striking, but with a simple silhouette and understated detailing.”
