Level is a styled-up straightforward cousin of Lena Bergström’s Basket Rug that presents a more layered and demanding geometric layout. Apart from the two standard sizes available: 2 by 3, and 2,5 by 3,5 meters, Level can be ordered to almost any size imagined. Made with meticulous lovingcraftsmanship, Level is produced with two superimposed layers of hand-tufted Indian wool that has been expertly cut by hand to reach the desire effect. The layers are tufted in two directions, which further enhances visual materiality and sensuality in a subtle way.

‘Level is a close-up of a mat placed on a mat, and yet it is an illusion,’ says Lena Bergström, ‘ The way the two layers are hand-tufted in different directions further emphasize depth and touch. One can add Level everywhere to give that ultimate touch to any interior.’

The illusions created is enriched by a careful pointillistic mix of differently colored strands of wool that give Level its unique depth and vibrancy.
