Glass – hand formed matter @ The Glass Factory

27/8–20/11 2022

“Glass – hand formed matter” is an international project supported by art schools, glassworks and cultural institutions. The project aims to explore new perspectives for manual glass production in Germany and Europe. Glass craftsmen, artists, designers and students have been brought together to reinterpret and further develop the thousand-year-old craft: glass making. The exhibition includes participants from Germany, Finland and Sweden. Both art objects and conceptual glass design are shown here, but also a film that describes the process behind it.

More about the project can be found on their website.

The exhibition is a traveling exhibition which during the summer of 2022 was shown at The Bröhan Museum, Berlin in Germany, in the autumn of 2022 it is shown with us at The Glass Factory and then continues to The Finnish Glass Museum, Riihimäki in Finland in the spring of 2023.
