Cymbal, designed by Helena Svensson, has taken its name from the world of music. Inspired by the instrument’s simple shape, size and position Helena has created a floor light and a pendant.
”The instrument has always fascinated me emotionally as well as sculpturally. This simple shape is a striking element in design, ”says Helena.
By adapting the shape of the Cymbal, with its surprisingly light design reminiscent of a trophy or shield, the designer pays homage to fine craftsmanship and draws attention to the way light spreads so beautifully over the contours.
