A lighting system that is elegant, yet neutral and works for an array of different environments, including
offices, meeting rooms, class rooms, laboratories and art galleries. That was the brief when Tham & Videgård created Airway, a lighting system presented by ateljé Lyktan at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2016.

The profile of Airway is broad and thin which gives it unique possibilites to be mounted directly onto the ceiling as
well as a floating pendant. Airway takes on a complex task with a simple shape and derived design giving a clear
answer, says Tham & Videgård.

The design of Airway is a combination of architectural light and a room shaping form derived from an analysis of
the process behind projecting and building. It is created to make everything from projection to mounting easier
and smoother. The round edges and T and X connections make it possible to use Airways both as a neutral lighting
system and as a unique design element.
