AUTUMN / WINTER 2001
Pia Wallén has specialized on developing a variety of felt techniques with high quality and unbeatable technique for innovative and individualistic products as well as different product branches such as fashion, interiors and accessories. She creates a crossover between fashion and interior in witch the qualities and colours are inspired by Swedish folklore.
Her signature felt slippers with contrasting stitching and sleek silver jewelry with felt inside are her most prevalent works.
For Autumn 2001 she continues to develop her "Dot Collection" witch focuses on a "tennisball" construction. The colour palette is still black with highlighting colours, and the collection features dresses, skirts, jackets, bags, bowles and jewelry in different coloured felts, as well as stripes and cross applications.
New for the autumn-winter season is also a small jersey collection with the same recognisable dot and cross theme.
Although the colour base of the collection still is black, vibrant green and red is also featured strongly throughout, with flashes of turqoise and white.
