exhibition in Brussels

For the first time since the death of Jules Wabbes in 1974, the gallery ‘Les
Années 50’ is showing a collection of furniture of this Belgian designer in
the beautiful buildings of the I.S.E.L.P. (Institut Supérieur pour l’Etude
du Language Plastique).

Whether they are in solid wood, wenge, mutenuye, padouck, long strips
assembled and glued together, in solid wood or in laminated, there are all
perfectly fabricated, sober, well balanced, timeless.

Noble and discreet, these desks, tables for work or for conferences,
bookshelves, coat-hangers, sofas, chairs combine metal and wood in a
harmonious manner that always respects their function. They were made
either for private owners or for big companies.

Lighting equipment, hooks, door handles in brass or bronze, have simple
forms and pure lines.

The exhibition will take place from November 30 to December 8, 2001
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 11 am to 8 pm
Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 11 am to 5.30 pm
