200 PARTICIPANTS 50 EVENTS 30 SPACES
There will be a Swedish invasion in Tokyo in October! Some 200 creators and organizers are coming - many more than we initially expected! Galleries, clubs and shops around Tokyo are opening up their doors. Swedish Embassy remains the center of the activities.

GUEST OF HONOUR: HRH CROWN PRINCESS VICTORIA
We are very happy that our Swedish Crown Princess Victoria, for the first time visiting Japan, has accepted to come and inaugurate Swedish Style in Tokyo 2001 and join some events during the first week. Young and stylish, the foremost representative of Sweden today, with a genuine interest in contemporary culture.

ALREADY FROM OCTOBER 10TH
The Swedish Style Café will open in the Embassy Exhibition Hall, where guests can obtain information on Swedish Style and read about Sweden while enjoying a cup of coffee or browsing on the net and listening to music. The caf? is furnished with contemporary Swedish design. You enter into a room created by Royal Furniture Collection, focusing on Gunilla Allard’s simple and elegant furniture (Lammhults) and Nina Jobs textile. The other half will be an installation by artistic design group UglyCute, questioning contemporary lifestyle terror. A press room will be located in connection to the caf? for info on participants and sponsors.
