Among the new SNOWCRASH lighting designs, Diode is a spectacular 'light organ' that visualises sound waves to play constantly changing light effects. Globlow LED, the new generation of inflatable Globlow lamps use LED technology and software to make lights that interact with the environment in unexpected ways. The Thing is a telescopic light that extends like an aerial so that a bulb can be positioned at unusual heights and locations. Rewindable is a virtual light that plays on the bounds of reality. It can be stored on video or downloaded from the net and displayed on a TV or computer screen, turning everyday media tools into a source of illumination.
Broadway and Sound Wave panels are the first designs in the new SNOWCRASH collection for work. Broadway is a prototype for a desk which serves as a wireless connection hub. Using new Bluetooth technology computers of handheld organisers can be connected directly to the internet without the need for cables. The Sound Wave wall panel is an attractive flexible solution to controlling sound levels in busy interiors.
Designed by Ulrika Ljungberg, the exhibition installation has been conceived as an exciting environment using light and projection to evoke the SNOWCRASH quest.

It´s not enough to create. Today´s man expects smart clothes plus... plus comfort, plus function, plus wellbeing and above all plus mobility. For the n dresser is a traveller, both physically and mentally, from the day-to-day humdrum of cross-city through the pressure of business flights to the spiritual experience of the weekend charity treck in Marocco. 24 hour clothing to fit every demand, every day of the week.
That means fabrics that look good and perform - stretch, polyurethane coatings,
bonded poplins and wools, Teflon protected fleeces and knit, raw denim,
metallic yarns... garments, too, must play their part - softly shaped and
deconstructed for ease of movement and ease of wear. Every attention is
paid to details like closures, fastenings, pockets for carrying your world
with you, trimming and finishings. But still n n is offering another plus,
after a sober decade of less is more, itęs time for fun, clothing with a
soul and a sense of humour, clothing that cocoons you and brings a feeling
of sensuality. This is n n´s second collection. But this Scandinavian
Company remains true to its values and its original credo of a modern perspective
on fashion for an independent minded customer that understands style.

A centripetal play - conceived and designed by Peter Bottazzi, Bob Wilson's young scene-painter, that starts from zen, feeds on philosophy, goes through emotions to come to the sensory world (and even to the new products Bang & Olufsen). Once crossed the doors of Palazzo del Senato, you run along a 36 m long catwalk surrounded by a set of computers changing the sounds according to everyone's weight, colour of skin and clothes: an unusual, personal, ever-becoming sound track.
|In the second court, three close-ups on tact, hearing and sight. Enclosed in a huge cube (5x5m), a bit claustrophobic, surrounded by hundreds of hands ("tact"), "Beocom 2", the prototype of the cordless phone, is dominating. Then you slip your head into a long Plexiglass tube ("hearing") containing the new headphones. You walk inside the eye ("sight") through some big screenings (and tv "Beovision"). A short pause of peace and quiet in the uproarious Salone. Palazzo del Senato - via Senato 10 h. 10-22|
