Living Dreams at CPH Furniture
"If there's no room for culture, it must seek new pastures and new possibilities.... and with the Spring, it's always exciting to experience that new shoots appear in unexpected places.... these are a symbol of vitality, energy and the unstoppable urge to move forward." Peter Lassen, Montana
Already next month, for the 3rd time, CPH Furniture takes the wraps off Scandinavia's most exclusive furniture fair. This new cultural event, in the most beautiful surroundings of Øksnehallen, challenges all traditional thinking! We present "Living Dreams", dreams you can touch, feel, sit on - even eat! We look forward once again to introduce you to the latest, most exciting, innovative and often provocative designs.
The programme is brimming with dynamism. On the interior design front, Lexington are here again, joined this time by Tini Owild who will present the latest colourful, fashion textiles for the home. Featuring amongst the most exclusive carpet design companies we have Swedish leaders Kasthall, Finland's most refined designs from Hanna Korvela Designs and Danish Ane Mortensen who promises "unique, sensual experiences, coupled with highest traditional quality".
You can take part in the first cultural event already on Wednesday afternoon of the opening day. The Crafts Council from London will be opening the debate on the designer/manufacturer relationship, to find out how to achieve a unique and marketable product. Designers, manufacturers, architects, students, buyers and other interested parties just can't afford to miss this!
Design students from Denmark Designschool will unveil their wild and thought-provoking, experimental designs, including furniture so ecological you can eat it! CPH Furniture has new design with a dash of humour, alongside the latest innovation from the well-established, international, design companies.
Friday, May 4th, we invite you to let your hair down, at the "Dream Party of the Year", in the company of some of the great names of international design and manufacture. CPH Furniture has become synonymous with international design movement, and we promise plenty of that on Friday... on the dance floor!
Gubi Olsen, of Gubi International says "...innovative people seek out new areas of expression... that's what makes CPH Furniture really interesting for us ... not to mention the incredibly beautiful architectural setting.. that's why we're exhibiting there." We couldn't put it better. Culture, innovation, sensuality, experimental, new thinking are the words you'll hear again and again, in connection with CPH Furniture. Don't you miss it!
As usual, we are providing our free, door-to-door Shuttlebus Service, running between Øksnehallen and Copenhagen's leading showrooms: Casa Shop, Gubi Design, Kartell, Montana, USM Haller, Møller + Rothe, Interstudio, Paustian and 'U9' (the collective name for Marks Pelle Vävare, Sedus.
