years 100% Design will be the tenth edition of the London-based
international contemporary design exhibition. From small beginnings the
show is now recognised as the UKs leading design show and a must-see
event on the international design calendar. Attracting over 450 exhibitors
and 35,000 visitors, its aims are to exhibit a collection of the very
best in contemporary interior design from around the world
and to support upcoming design talent - which it has done since its inception
by providing bursaries and assistance to hundreds of new designers.
Design will be held at Earls Court 2, London from Thursday 23 to Sunday
26 September 2004.
Design will once again provide its unique mix of small and large companies,
established and new designers, UK based and international exhibitors.
Over 450 companies will be exhibiting and many plan to launch new products
at the event, emphasising the important role the show plays within both
and international industry.

ten years, will present their vision of the future of contemporary design.
This centrepiece feature will be unveiled at the show on Thursday 23 September.

Design will once again be supporting and nurturing upcoming design talent,
a crucial element to both the event and the industry at large, with a
range of initiatives including: five UK and five international 100% Design
Foundation Awards and five100% Design Crafts Council Bursaries. It will
also be providing assistance to a large number of exhibitors who will
be showing with undu graduates, Hidden Art and Design-Nation.
International Foundation Awards have been awarded to newcomers: Scandinavian
Surface, Ozone and Design By Us; 100% Foundation Awards to: Pureform,
Kuboaa, What They Did Next and The Folding Company. The winners of this
years 100% Design Crafts Council Bursaries are: Mark Bickers, Liz
Emtage Ceramics, Thelermont Hupton, Fred Duthy and Yoyo Ceramics.

exhibition space, main feature areas, the central bar and The White House
will be more than a dozen informative seminars covering a host of design
related themes, with a wide range of speakers, including: Tom Dixon, Shin
and Tomoko Azumi, and Hella Jongerius; with representatives from the British
Council, Architecture Foundation, Design Museum and Domus.
