DANISH
ART OF CABINETMAKING
At Kronborg Castle - Helsingør
October 13 - December 3, 2000
The
exhibition focuses on the superb craft of cabinetmaking
which was the basis for the creation of the sublime
Danish furniture of the previous century.
The more than 250 pieces of furniture on show have primarily been selected
because of the exquisite workmanship that they display.
(Johan Rhode, Hans J Wegner, Børge Mogensen, Kaare Klint etc.)
The
exhibition - which has been organised by
the Danish Museum of Decorative Art - is part of Kulturbro 2000,
a Biennial of Art and Culture in the Øresund Region.
