DesignMarch opens with DesignTalks, a day of talks by leading local and international designers and design thinkers on Play.

DesignTalks is an inspiring day of talks for anyone interested in design and architecture, and a must for all creative professionals. The speakers will discuss play in its widest sense in the context of creativity and innovation. Whether it’s on experimental approaches, fantasy, speculations, provocations or playing with established conventions; we expect to be inspired to shake things up!

DesignTalks 2015 is curated and moderated by Hlín Helga Guðlaugsdóttir, designer, curator and educator at Konstfack, in Stockholm. Interviewers are Guðmundur Oddur Magnússon, Professor at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, and Summit founders Daniel Golling and Gustaf Kjellin. Gagarín interactive design studio collaborated on the creation of the DesignTalks experience.

The tickets are available online at Harpa.is and Midi.is. There is a limited amount of seats available, so be sure to reserve yours!

DesignTalks is the signature event of DesignMarch. It is produced by the festival organizer Iceland Design Centre in collaboration with the Embassy of the United States in Reykjavik, Iceland.
